Halloween String Lights by Good Housekeeping

This is such a cute Halloween craft idea!! If I had a larger front walkway area, I would make these!

Cast a spell on standard string lights with quick-change DIY covers. Gather small plastic cups (mouthwash size works best), patterned scrapbook paper, one sheet of plain paper, scissors, double-stick tape, an X-Acto knife, and a string of LED lights (they'll stay cool against the cups). Make a template for the covers by wrapping plain paper around a cup, tracing, and cutting it to fit. Cut patterned papers to the template; affix with tape. With the blade, slice a small X in each cup's top to push light through.

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies by Crafty Cupcake Girl

Ok, so these look like they belong to the Grinch, but I am totally willing to try them! I love mint and these look very tasty!

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies
3 cups sifted organic wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoons organic baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup organic Sucanat
1/2 cup organic sugar
1 cup organic butter (softened)
1 cage free egg, lightly beaten
1/4 teaspoon Mint extract
1 cup Creme de Menthe baking chips
(I used Andes creme de menthe thins instead)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Baking Instructions:
  1. Mix butter, extract, food color, flour, salt, baking
powder, sugar & egg in bowl, until soft dough forms.
Stir Andes creme de menthe thins & chocolate chunks.
  2. Using small cookie scoop or teaspoon,
drop dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
    Serve warm or cool completely!
