Alicia's Homeade "SPICY" Pasta

I had a bunch of leftover ingredients in the fridge and cabinets and wanted to come up with a pasta recipe from scratch... it actually turned out really good, a bit spicy, but you can curb that when you make it!

Alicia's Spicy Pasta

What you need:
1/2 lb pasta (really any kind.. I used Fettuccine)
-1 cup (or so) mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 can (12 oz) diced tomatoes with green chili"s (can get it w/o chili's too)
- salt/pepper to taste
- 1 Tb. olive oil
- 1/2 lb. small shrimp (already cooked)
- chopped fresh parsley (garnish over pasta)
- 1 garlic clove
- heavy whipping cream (about 1/4 c. or so)
- 1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
- 1 bunch green onion (chopped)
- 1 Tb. sugar

What to do:
-Cook pasta in boiling water until el dente (add salt to boiling water while cooking, just a sprinkle)
- while pasta cooks make sauce:
1. Heat 1 Tb. olive oil in skillet, add green onion, garlic, parsley, mushrooms... stir until heated through
2. Add diced tomatoes, shrimp and sugar to skillet, cook about 5 min
3. Set stove to low, cover skillet and let simmer for about 10 min.
4. Drain pasta and set aside in bowl
5. Add 1/4 c heavy whipping cream to pasta and stir to saturate
6. When sauce is finished simmering, add sauce to pasta
7. Add salt, pepper and parmesan to mixture and mix thoroughly
8. Serve!!
